If signing up for a library card has been on your to-do list, now is a great time to get it done. September is Library Card Signup Month, and we’re celebrating by giving away fun prizes! All month long, everyone who registers for a new library card will receive an Essex Public Library book light, and they’ll also be entered into a drawing for a $25 Walmart gift card.

If you already have a library account but you’ve lost your card, we are also replacing lost library cards for free in September. The $1 replacement fee will be waived all month.

If you are age 6 or older and you live or work in Essex County or a neighboring county, you’re eligible for an account at Essex Public Library.
