Who are the Friends of the Essex Public Library?

The Friends of the Essex Public Library is a non-profit organization charged with the purpose of aiding, supporting, and promoting the library by providing volunteer service and financial assistance. The Friends also sponsor Evening with a Writer, a spring and fall program designed to bring residents and visitors together with noted authors to share their love for literature.

The Friends of the Library has a tiered giving structure which provides additional benefits to our members and allows for more flexible giving.  All member levels will include the newsletter and advanced notices of author and other events, but several new benefits and tiers below.
