Mobile Wi-Fi Hotspot Lending

Library card holders (18 and older) may borrow a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot for 7 days using their library card. The device will allow them to connect to the internet from home. For more information, see our Mobile Wi-Fi Hotspot Guideline and FAQ.

Print & Fax Services

Printing is available from our public access computers, and a public copier is also available. Library users may scan documents and save or e-mail them for free through the Library Document Station.

Prices for printing and faxing are:

  • Black and white copies: 10 cents each
  • Color copies: 50 cents each
  • Faxes: 50 cents per page

Mobile printing is available from your personal device.
You can even print from home and pick it up at the library. Click here

Interlibrary Loan

Interlibrary loans (ILLs) are items borrowed from other libraries and sent to us through the mail. If we don't have an item in our collection, we can request it through interlibrary loan. Just call or stop by the library to check on an item's availability. Audiovisual materials are not available through ILL.

Because of the costs associated with postage and ILL service, we can make ILL requests for Essex residents only. Nonresidents can request ILLs through their library in the county in which they reside.

Meeting Rooms

Our meeting room is available for use by community groups. An application is required to use the room. Check with an EPL staff member to schedule your meeting and submit your application.

See our full meeting room policy here.

Computer and Tech Help

You can schedule one-on-one technology assistance with our librarian. Services range from beginner's computer instruction to more advanced topics like smartphone apps and website building. Call 804-443-4945 to make your appointment.
